Camping right by the river

A stay at the campsite directly by the river Fulda is always a special experience. In the middle of nature and yet close to the city, the entire campsite area was completely renovated and extended a few years ago. Today you will find everything you need for a relaxing holiday.

Our guests enjoy a holiday feeling and a friendly atmosphere from the moment they check in: the centrepiece of our new main building is a spacious reception area, which also houses a small shop selling drinks. The modern and spacious sanitary facilities are of course also suitable for barrier-free access. A platform lift for wheelchairs ensures that all areas of the building are easily accessible.

The platform lift works with a Euro key (Euroschlüssel), the standardised European locking system for wheelchair-accessible systems. If you already have a Euro key, you do not need an additional key to use it.

Everything our campsite has to offer

Kiosk & Snack Bar

Right next to reception, you’ll find our kiosk – perfect for picking up breakfast essentials, a treat for the evening at your camper, caravan or tent, or a quick snack in between. And if you need a bit more, we’ll gladly point you to the nearest supermarket.

For something heartier, our snack bar is open during the main season. Enjoy a changing selection of small dishes, chips, sausages and more – perfect for a relaxed evening meal on site.

Campcard

The shower, washing machine, tumble dryer and cooking facilities can be easily controlled using the camping card. It also serves as a key for the barrier and the building when the reception is closed. You can top up your credit directly at reception. Our guests at the caravan site opposite can top up their credit at the machine where you will also receive your Campingcard at check-in.

Cooking facilities

There are 2 modern hobs with induction hobs in the main building. The work surfaces offer plenty of space for preparing delicious meals.

Laundry room

Washing machines and tumble dryers are available here, which you can conveniently control with your Campingcard.

Charging station for mobile devices

Whether you are travelling with a tent or don't have enough charging options with you: You can charge your mobile phone safely and conveniently in our building. Our boxes are available around the clock and are secured by a personalised numerical code.

Bicycle hire

We currently offer 4 bicycles for hire. Please contact reception directly.

Stand-Up Paddle Board Hire

Cool off in the Fulda and enjoy the water to the fullest – hire your SUP directly from us!

Inclusive campsite

Kassel Camping und Wohnmobilstellplatz is Hesse's first inclusive campsite and was honoured with the "exzellent:arbeit" award from the Bundesarbeitsgemeinschaft Werkstätten für behinderte Menschen (BAG WfbM) in 2020.

This year, the tried-and-tested collaboration with Baunataler Diakonie Kassel (bdks), which provides employment for people with disabilities, will continue. As part of the inclusion project, new employees have already started work in the areas of green areas and cleaning as well as in administration and reception at the start of the season. In addition, the people with disabilities accompany arriving holidaymakers to their pitches and inform them about tourist attractions, parks and infrastructure, among other things.

As part of the inclusion project, an employee with a disability takes care of the plants and lawn.
